The Centre for Shridevi Research Foundation (CSRF) was established in 2006 under the patronage of Sri Shridevi Charitable Trust, Tumkur. Recognized as an autonomous research organization by Tumkur University, VTU (Belgaum), and Kuvempu University, CSRF aims to establish a world-class research center. Its mission is to facilitate research that is directly relevant to students, academics, scientists, and society at large.
CSRF is committed to creating valuable knowledge outputs, developing technology for industry transfer, and organizing events to promote scientific intellectual growth. The Centre has also established a Society for Biotechnology & Bioengineering, reflecting Shridevi Education’s dedication to advancing Indian Biotechnology.
Biotechnology is currently the primary focus of CSRF. As an integrated multidisciplinary field, biotechnology significantly impacts various bio-systems. The Centre is engaged in three major biotechnology research projects funded by agencies such as NABARD and the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India.

Academic vigilance is the cornerstone of ensuring quality performance and serious academic pursuit. This responsibility is carried out by a team led by a senior faculty member serving as the Academic Coordinator, along with two other staff members who assist in the process. Periodic review meetings are held, involving all faculty members, to monitor academic schedules, such as syllabus coverage, student attendance, and internal test performance. Student progress in each of the three tests conducted per semester is communicated to parents. Additionally, continuous evaluation is maintained through weekly unit tests. The Academic Vigilance Team also provides student counseling when necessary.
A squad is appointed to actively monitor student areas to ensure that no incidents of ragging occur in any form. This squad represents the institution’s compliance with AICTE expectations as well as the institute’s own initiative. Any actions or reports of ragging are met with strict measures, as such acts are classified as cognizable offenses.

A robust system of student counseling is actively implemented to offer assistance whenever needed. Shridevi Education employs a rigorous teacher selection process that includes multiple levels of evaluation. The teaching-learning process is given the highest priority to uphold the standards set by the institutional philosophy. One visible outcome of this commitment is reflected in the university results. Outstanding students are incentivized with cash awards and certificates. Students who achieve a score of over 85% in VTU examinations receive a monthly scholarship of Rs 1,000/- for the entire semester. Additionally, the top-performing student of each year is awarded a Gold Medal.
Moreover, students ranking below 8000 in CET are eligible for a 50% tuition fee waiver. If a student achieves a rank, their tuition fee for all semesters will be refunded.

Additionally, a strategic partnership has been formed with Globarena Technologies, Hyderabad, through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This collaboration strengthens the skill development program by leveraging Globarena’s expertise and resources, further benefiting our students in their overall professional and personal development journey.
The management has allocated significant resources for organizing a wide range of student enrichment events, demonstrating a strong commitment to holistic education. These events include popular lectures, symposia, seminars, workshops, re-tooling programs, and related initiatives aimed at enhancing students’ academic and professional growth. The diversity of these activities ensures that students have access to a comprehensive learning experience that goes beyond traditional classroom education.
Educative and enlightening tours are regularly organized for the students to visit top of the order industries. These visits provide an invaluable exposure to the students on several practical aspects of the industry, its functionality, and many other elements which can be only by a closer exposure.
This program aims to prepare interested students for various competitive examinations such as GATE, UPSC, MPSC, GRE, and TOEFL. It benefits from having a dedicated library and reading room, providing a more focused environment for students pursuing these exams.
Quality circle encompasses quality across Shridevi Education which includes quality of student performance, institution’s concern for quality and teacher effectiveness. Students take active role in discussing various issues pertaining to quality in every domain on the campus. The whole idea is to ensure that everything that happens at Shridevi Education should meet certain minimum quality standards. As a result of this policy and their persistent practice, the institution has received ISO 9001-2008 Certification.
Shridevi Education’s placement cell is dedicated to not only training students for placements but also organizing campus recruitments. Over time, the placement cell has built strong industry connections, ensuring successful placements for students.

The Adventure Club at Shridevi Education organizes tours to various historic places, trekking regions, rappelling and paragliding spots, valley crossings, wildlife observation areas, and more. During these programs, students learn through adventures, community living, and group activities. The positive outlook developed during these tours leads to improved classroom dynamics among the students.
